Five Lucky Journal Ideas to Get Creativity Flowing in March

Using a journal prompt is one good way to boost your creativity when you’re feeling stuck or when you just want to add some new ideas to your writing. These can be especially useful if you’re looking for ways to be a bit more introspective as you journal, or if you’re interested in thinking more about your life but can’t necessarily come up with a specific topic to write about.

Journal prompts allow you to use a jumping-off point to get started, then build your journal entry for the day around that topic. Occasionally, you may even find that you come up with more than one days worth of material from a single prompt.

For March, we have several journal prompts with a luck theme for you to consider.

What is a Stroke of Good Luck You are Grateful For?

Good luck, especially when unexpected, can bring a great change in your life. Think about how luck and chance have impacted your life and which instance has most changed your life for the better. Where did the luck come from? What did it change? How would your life have been different if that luck hadn’t come along?

If You Had Unlimited Luck for a Day, What Would You Do?

Imagine that everything goes your way, that every risk pays off and all uncertainty resolves itself in your favor, but just for 24 hours. What risks would you take? What bets would you make? How would you use this power to improve yourself, your life, your situation? Would you face fears, knowing that your luck will protect you? Would you use your power for the good of others or your personal benefit? Who would you help?

What Are Some Ways a Person Can Create Their Own Luck?

While many believe that luck is entirely an outside force, luck is something that people can make for themselves. Luck isn’t just chance to go to a person’s benefit; it is also the ability for the person to take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves. How can you improve your luck? How can you take better advantage of the opportunities you have or that become available to you? How can you be more aware of when they do pop up? What luck have you had in the past and what can you learn from how that occurred and how can you learn from that?

Do You Believe in Fate or Luck, or is Life Only About Hard Work?

What do you believe in? Do Fate and Luck rule your life, or do you believe only in work and the consequences of your actions? How has your life reflected that belief? What has caused you to come to this belief? What might change your mind? How have your beliefs impacted the choices you’ve made in your life and the path your life has taken?

I am Lucky to Be Me Because…

Every person is unique and lives a unique life, and you’re no different. Why are you lucky to be the person you are? How do your skills and characteristics benefit you and allow you to be successful?

Journal prompts are a great way to break through writer’s block and get a journal entry flowing. Express your spring creativity with any of these unique ideas.
